Cozy Buttoned Scarf Pattern – FREE

Cozy Buttoned Scarf

Level: Beginner

Materials:

– double strand of desired yarn or single strand of weight 5 or 6 yarn. Pictured: Lion Brand Tweed Stripes in Marble
– P or Q Hook
– Decorative Button and 7/8” (or desired size) button

Ch. 83 (If longer length desired, add more chains to foundation row.)

Row 1: In 2^nd ch from hook, hdc, Hdc in each ch across, ch 2, turn (82 hdc)

Row 2: Hdc in each hdc across, working in back loops only, ch 2, turn.

Repeat Row 2 until you have 7- 9 rows, depending on your desire width. I normally aim for 5 inches wide.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Add large decorative button in corner with working button behind. I sew on a 7/8” button behind the decorative button.

This smaller button will fit anywhere in the holes of the scarf, thus making the scarf very versatile!
